It largely depends on the website you're trying to save it from. Some block downloading or saving their content. If you tell us what site you're referring to and what web browser you're using, someone may be able to offer advice.
Regards.
There are free browser add-ons / extensions that can download videos from some sites. The popular ones work OK on some sites but many sites have blocks preventing downloads. If it's Youtube then it's virtually impossible to do it. There are brief periods when the extensions bypass the blocks but Youtube catches up.
There are also extensions that promise to be able to download videos if you download and install applications onto your Mac that work with them. I've no idea if these work or if they are safe, but I'd never download one and do not recommend that you do.
You can get/.buy apps that claim they do it, but I've no idea if they work and have never used them.
Some websites have membership services which allow members to download videos.
Finally, the legality of downloading content is questionable depending on where you live and local laws and you're unlikely to get any direct recommendations here.
youtube and safari
