Fixing disk icons on MacOS Sequoia 15.3 with Pro Display XDR

Click the Desktop and press CMD + J then deselect Stack By & Sort By both to None or optionally snap to grid on Sort By. Then test it should remember the icon positions.

Try putting them in the lower right and compare your results.

Yes its valuable real estate...macOS is on the right, Windows OS is on the left.
