Fixing disk icons on MacOS Sequoia 15.3 with Pro Display XDR

MacOS Sequoia 15.3 with a Pro Display XDR. I'm trying to get some icons of the various disks in my system to remain fixed in place on the lower left side display. I move them there and they remain until I reboot the system and they all go back to the upper right side where a lot of information is temporarily displayed. I have a 2TB system disk, (2) 8 TB internal disks (1 for Time machine and 1 for User Data, and 1 external Tie Machine disk. Any hints of making them stay where I want them?

Try putting them in the lower right and compare your results.

Yes its valuable real estate...macOS is on the right, Windows OS is on the left.

Much obliged for your suggestion. Tried that (putting them on the lower right) but as soon as you boot they all appear on the upper right again. Why do the widgets I have from the Apple store stay fixed in place where I first placed them (I have some on upper left and 1 on the lower left) but not disk icons? What dark magic keeps them exactly where I place them bit not disk icons?
