Problem with Sequoia ( 15.3). and my HP Scanner.

After installing 15.3 on my Mac 24" the computer would not connect to my HP5660 scanner . I found advice from someone on an Apple support page. Go to Setting, Privacy and Security, Local Network. The HP Device Monitor, HP Scanner 3, and HP Utility were all toggled OFF,  I toggled ON HP Device Monitor, HP Scanner 3, and HP Utility and I can scan again! Didn't have to download non-existent new drivers or buy a new printer. I hope this works for other folks having the same issue.

HP 5660 PRINTER SCANNER OS 15.3 FIX

I found this advice from another Apple user on a discussion page.

Go to Settings, Privacy & Security, Local Network, I toggled ON the HP Device Monitor, HP Scanner 3, and HP Utility toggles and my scanner started connecting to my computer again. I hope this works for you. I just updated to 15.3.1 yesterday and the printer scanner still works.

I have seen the same thing happen on a previous OSX update and it happened again this time.

Simplest fix:

Printers & Scanners -- Remove Printer

Then ... Just re-add the printer and everything should work fine!

I have a 24" Mac and a HP 5660 inkjet printer. The printer/scanner worked fine until I installed 15.3. The printer still works (for now) but I got the same error message (-21345)and can't scan. I called tech support and his advice was "buy a new printer". Totally disappointed in Apple. They recently made my Quickbooks program quit working with an OS update. I know I got the warning that my HP equipment would stop working with future updates, I just didn't think it would be until 16 came out. 15 has also caused a number of other issues with my Mac. I wish the OS updates would make our computers run better instead of causing problems. Does anyone have a fix. I couldn't find an update at HP, of course they want us to buy a new printer. I will appreciate any advice. Thanks

I have the same issue: Unable to connect to the scanner of my HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP277dw using OS 15.3. I have verified that the HP scanner and other function under Privacy->Local Network are turned on. I also removed and re-added the printer. I still get the same error -21345

Thanks, but I should have included that I have checked all of those - and they are 'on'. Still can't connect using Image Capture. I downloaded another app HP Easy Scan and that worked (but I don't like that interface nearly as well. )

DD208, There is not enough time to thank you enough. I was going nuts trying to figure out the scanner problem and the HP website for troubleshooting was totally worthless. You solved the problem. A million thanks!

I'm having kinda opposite issues, it will print using scanner but not anything from computer iMac Desktop 27" Sequoia 15.3. It will fix paper feed, print alignment page etc. just nothing I want from computer. Won't load drivers saying it needs OS 15.0 or earlier. Any help would be most appreciated, Thanks.
