How can I stop Apple TV from suggesting other apps?

When I want to buy a movie in the Apple TV app, it also offers it in other apps, like Disney. How do I turn that off? Thank you for the advice.

‘Connected apps’ (iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Apple TV box) can be disconnected from the Apple TV app, but then it applies to all content from that service, not just your purchased movie.

Apple TV box: Settings﹥Apps﹥TV app﹥ᴄᴏɴɴᴇᴄᴛ ᴛᴏ ᴛᴠ﹥[choose third party app]﹥On|Off

The Apple TV app is supposed to remember your preference for any specific title, although some users have reported that this setting got confused for them at some point. You should be able to fix that by manually opening once in the intended app.

Search in the Apple TV app may still offer an option to open purchasable/purchased movies in other apps on that device that you may have access to.

The main details page for any movie in the Apple TV app, would have a How to Watch header if you scroll down a bit, with all the options from various content providers. You may select a content provider there that is different from the default at the top (if available from others).

Items in your library (i.e. after purchase) should always open the Store version in the Apple TV app.

Some movies may be available only from Disney directly, or be available there before other resellers have it. It depends on the title.
