Broken Apple Pencil tip - how to remove broken pieces?

The tip of my apple pencil broke, and the base part of the tip is still inside the pencil, difficult to access. How can I safely remove that so I can put on a new tip?

You would be best advised to visit the Genius Bar at your local Apple Store or Apple Authorised Service Provider (AASP) - where the technicians will be able to offer assistance:

Genius Bar Reservation and Apple Support Options - Apple

If the tip has been broken as described, there is a significant risk that the gold-coloured transducer element (that is normally enclosed by the replaceable tip) may have been damaged. If the transducer is bent or missing, the Pencil is scrap - as it cannot be repaired.
