Forcing macOS 13 update on 2016 iMac for tax software

I need OS17 to do my taxes, because the software requires that operating system. My IMAC is from 2016 and it says it is updated at 12.7. Anything I can do to force the OS17 version update?

There is no macOS 17. The current version of macOS is macOS 15 – Sequoia.

There also is no such thing as a 2016 iMac. If you are referring to one of the Late 2015 iMacs that Apple sold from October 2015 to June 2017, macOS 12 (Monterey) is the end of the line. You cannot upgrade to Ventura, Sonoma, or Sequoia.
