I exported my 60 film without cc and then reimported it into fcpx to generate srt cc. It was able to generate the srt cc successfully in the timeline. But when I exported the movie the cc was missing. I rebooted the computer and tried again but it still didnt show up. What am I doing wrong? Thank you in advance.

Closed Captioning is encoded into the video. It is a function that must be turned on in the software you're using to play back the video file you exported.

Do you understand the difference between a title and a caption? The title will be the pixels of the video(Role: To view). Closed captions are text files, so they do not become pixels (Role: Read text aloud. For viewing). Which do you want to do?

How do I turn it on in Final Cut Pro x? Do I need an app or software? I thought fcpx could generate them internally.
