Unauthorised $39.9 monthly charge for unknown service

Dear Community,

I’m new here, and I’m reaching out because someone sent me a link to follow, and I ended up registering without fully realizing what I was getting into. Now, they have been charging me $39.9 per month, and I don’t even remember subscribing to this service for over a year.

I’ve tried following up with the bank in vain, and even getting help here has been a nightmare. There’s still no clear way to cancel this nonsense. I never intended to be a subscriber, yet getting out of it seems impossible.

It feels like a well-planned scam by a group of online thieves, and I really need help. How can I cancel this for good? I don’t want it at all—I don’t need it!

These are not subscriptions that you acquired through the App Store. They are not apps. It isn't Apple charging you these amounts.

You, or someone with access to your device appears to have signed you up for the subscription through a website.

A web search comes up with this;

What does your bank statement show as the entity that is debiting these amounts from your account.

If it were Apple the bank statement would show something like 'apple.com/bill'

You signed up for something that is not managed by Apple and there is nothing Apple can do to resolve the problem. You will need to handle this with the bank of the card being billed no matter how hard this may be. The charge is coming directly from this merchant to your card, and not through Apple where they have any way to manage the subscription. Depending on your region, there are also Government agencies that will assist in forcing the bank to comply if they are violating any of the banking regulations and consumer laws.

Managing auto-renewing subscriptions -

If you want to cancel a subscription from Apple - Apple Support

You might need to scroll down to find the Cancel Subscription button.

Scroll further down the link for instructions for non-Apple devices.

Things about subscriptions;

⁃ Deleting an app does not cancel the subscription.

⁃ A trial subscription must be canceled more than 24 hours before the renewal date or it may renew.

⁃ Many subscriptions are set to renew automatically until you cancel them.

⁃ If you see multiple subscription offers, as long as you don’t select one, the subscription shouldn’t renew.

⁃ If you don’t see Cancel Subscription, the subscription is canceled and won't renew.

⁃ An expiration date means the current subscription has been canceled but is available to use until that date.

⁃ Use Resubscribe/Renew if you change your mind about canceling the subscription.

However, this setup appears intentionally designed to make unsubscribing difficult. The details suggest that I should be able to find the “Cancel Subscription” button by scrolling down, with further instructions provided for non-Apple devices. However, when I access the support page link, there is no “Cancel Subscription” button anywhere—this is extremely frustrating.

It also requires me to go to my phone to manage subscriptions, explicitly stating, “Subscriptions Manage on Device.” However, when I click on this option, the subscription I am trying to cancel is nowhere to be found—it is completely hidden.

The subscriptions I am struggling with include Prosperi Academy, which charges me $39.99 USD monthly, and AI Marketing Software, which deducts approximately $69.00 USD per month from my card. Even after changing my card details, my iPhone still prompts me to link a payment method, suggesting that Apple maintains a direct link to these transactions.

This issue has persisted for over a year, yet I cannot see these subscriptions listed under my active subscriptions, even though payments continue to be deducted every month.

I truly appreciate your response and advice, but unfortunately, it did not resolve my issue. If there is anyone who can provide further assistance, I would be extremely grateful.

Thank you.
