Apple Watch Ultra 2 causing arm pain, pins and needles.

A couple of days ago, my Apple Watch stopped recording vital signs. Since then, I’ve been experiencing excruciating pain in my arm, along with pins and needles and a “dead arm” sensation. I contacted Apple Support, and after running diagnostics, they identified two hardware issues that appear to be preventing the watch from tracking vitals properly.

I’ve been using an Apple Watch since the Series 1 and have never had anything like this happen before. I’m curious—has anyone else experienced this issue? Could a hardware malfunction be interfering with signals in my arm and causing the pain?

Since I stopped wearing the watch, the pain has subsided while I wait for it to be repaired. Any insights would be appreciated!

Expanding on what Tim said, a malfunction in the Watch would not cause physical symptoms in your body. It's almost certainly due to the pressure exerted by having a larger watch on your wrist on an area with prominent tendons and nerves. This is something you probably indeed should discuss with your doctor. Just not strapping it as tightly make help, but you may need to stop wearing a watch, get a smaller/thinner one, or switch it to your other wrist from time to time to allow your arm to recover.

Totally hear what you guys are saying. I’ve been wearing the Ultra for a year and a half now and never had a problem.

It probably is just a random coincidence that the watch vitals stopped working because of the hardware issues at the same time I started getting the pain. The fact that pain has started ceasing once I stopped wearing it made me get curious. So just posted to see if anyone else had experienced anything similar.
