Will my Apple Watch incur extra charges while in Europe?

in Europe portugal and Spain.

Since I’m really new to the watch thing is there anything that I need to do like turning off the cellular on the watch or will the cellular just not work anyway so no issues like crazy charges.

I really only need this thing to monitor EKG periodically.

Thanks in advance.

That depends on whether or not your carrier supports roaming on the watch or not. In general it should use the cellular connection from the paired iPhone and only when its away from the iPhone would it even attempt to use cellular.

Charges will depend on your carrier, so its best to contact them and be sure the watch is included in any roaming plan you get for the iPhone.

Otherwise, it may be prudent to turn off cellular on the watch.
