shortcut to printer in dock gives message WFBackgroundShortcutRunnerErrorDomain error 0
After being forced to jump from Mojave to Sequoia when I bought the new MacMini Pro M4, as I have always done for years, I wanted to place individual shortcuts in the dock directly to my two printers. This I did successfully, in that their icons appeared in the dock. However, when I clicked to open the printers, messages came up saying the operation couldn't be completed, followed in brackets by: "WFBackgroundShortcutRunnerErrorDomain error 0" . Then when I looked up this error code, all I could find in the internet was that it was an IOS error. My computer is running Mac OS not iOS so why would an iOS error flash up? and why can't I make it work to have the shortcuts working from the dock?
I'm sad to say that an awful lot of the difference between Mojave and Sequoia seems to be related to the dumbing down or hiding of many of the useful functions that used were in the earlier OSes. I get a strong feeling that the printer shortcuts in the dock may not have been used by many people, so now Apple has taken away the ability to set them up. It has done the same with the sounds which are now limited and very "samey".
anyway why am I getting errors defined as IOS error for what I am doing in OS 15, and what can I do to make these shortcuts work? Hope someone, or Apple can answer this.
