hmmm.... seems odd. Never heard of this before.

Have you quit the app, restarted the Mac and compared your results?

Are you sync Contacts across devices through iCloud ?

>System Settings>AppleID/Account>iCloud>Contacts

if no insight you can try restoring your Contacts via your Time Machine backups...

Getting Contact eMails to Show:

A. Reenable Contacts:

Disable Contacts in iCloud Settings, and then reenable it.

On the iPhone:

  1. Go to: Settings
  2. Tap: Your Name (Top Item)
  3. Tap: iCloud
  4. Tap: Photos (so that it is greyed-out)
  5. Tap: Photos (so that it is green)
  6. Restart: your iPhone

B. Also, Try the Following:

"Howdy, When I look at the contacts in icloud, the data is missing from there too, so I'm not sure this will change anything..... Tried and is the same, but thank you :)"

Seeing Contact Info in iCloud:

A. Single Out this Device:

So, are these visible on other devices?

B. View iCloud in a Web Browser:

What happens when you view them directly on iCloud, itself: https://www.icloud.com/contacts. If the info does not shoe, then it is indeed gone. If is does show, then reenable this, should have worked.

C. Turn Off All VPNs:

If you are using a VPN, turn it off. It may be intrusive, and getting in the way here.

Thanks for the support Leroy, unfortunately the details are missing from everywhere.

So many contacts with missing info, and I have spent years collecting them all.

I didn't realise straight away what had happened, I mean how could so much info disappear? And just 'parts' of each persons details. I just thought it was random here and there. Before it became apparent that a tonne of info had been deleted.

Because it took me a decent amount of time, I dare not restore a back up. Then I'd lose a tonne of other stuff that has happened since.

Perhaps its best to go in store and ask?

The info is not visible on any devices and it is gone when I View iCloud in a Web Browser - so I am coming to grips with the fact that it is really gone.

My question now has to be, how on earth did have all my contacts names and mobile numbers remained, but tonnes of email addresses, job titles and other random details have magically disappeared....
