paste options not showing

Till yesterday I was able to see options Keep Source Formatting, Match Formatting when copying text from external program to Word document. Today I can only see 'Keep Text Only'. All the formatting from the original document (bullet lists, numbers, bold font) are lost. Can't get them back through Word Preferences - Option doesn't come up. Drop down options with icon does not come up when I hit Paste button.
