pictures on tablet and iphone
I want to delete all the pictures on my tablet but keep them on my iphone. (I want to completely delete the app pictures and also not get new pictures from my phone on the tablet.) Is that possible?

Are you using iCloud Photos to synchronize the iPad and iPhone? (If you're not using iCloud to sync the phone and iPad, then you need to tell us more about how they're connected.)
If iCloud is the connection, then just turn off iCloud Photos on your iPad. Go to Settings>Apple ID>iCloud>Photos and turn off "Sync this iPad"
Now, the pictures on the iPad and on the iPhone are no longer connected. At first, convince yourself by deleting a few pictures. Wait a while, and make sure the iPhone doesn't follow. It's good to be sure.
You cannot remove the Photos app from your iPad, but you can put it some place where you don't have to look at it.
