How can I rearrange stickers on iPhone with iOS 18?

I’m trying to rearrange stickers I’ve created but I can’t remember how I’ve done it before and I didn’t see anything when I searched here.

Any help please?

On an iPhone, firmly pressing an icon typically refers to using Haptic Touch. However, you don't need to apply a lot of pressure. Instead, follow these steps:

  1. Lightly rest your finger on the icon without removing it.
  2. Hold it there for about a second until you feel a slight vibration (haptic feedback).
  3. A menu or "jiggle mode" (for moving/deleting apps or icons or stickers) will appear.

You may adjust the sensitivity.

Go to Settings > Accessibility > Touch, then tap Haptic Touch or 3D & Haptic Touch. Choose the touch duration—Fast or Slow. On an iPhone with 3D Touch, you can also choose the pressure needed—Light, Medium, or Firm. Test your new settings on the image at the bottom of the screen.

Adjust how iPhone responds to your touch - Apple Support (IN)

Key Points:

  • No need to press hard—it's about holding, not force.
  • If nothing happens, try holding slightly longer.
  • If the icons start wiggling, you've activated edit mode (lift your finger and tap “Done” if this wasn't your intent).

~Katana-San~,

This is the only device I use and prior to last few months, I never had any issues with touch screen and then I started to notice my screen hadn’t been responding to my touch like it had been and it was other things than just the stickers.

Other than having to press a LOT harder than normal to do certain tasks, I’m also having to press on things multiple times before the action takes effect.

I thought it had something to do with the screen protector but it’s the same one I’ve been using for years.

While I am happy to find out that the steps to rearrange stickers hasn’t changed, I am still stumped on this part. lol.

Jenna ~ As your iPhone 12 is an old model, it's worth checking for a weak, aging battery which can cause touch screen issues. So...

Does your iPhone 12 still have its original battery?

And what's the Maximum Capacity % here?...

Jenna ~ I didn't ask whether "the battery is fine". I asked what the Maximum Capacity % is.

To be clearer, this icon is the Settings app:

...Tap it to open Settings app. Then scroll down to Battery and tap it. Then tap Battery Health & Charging and tell us what the Maximum Capacity % is. If its value is only "––", let us know that.

Hi Katana-San,

I’ve had Apple do so many screen shares with me and they find nothing wrong with my settings or phone performance. (so they say)

When I contact them, it’s always a 2 hour call and I just keep getting one big runaround.

For the last 3 years, I’ve been lucky if I get to use my phone more than 3 hrs a day with all the other issues it has.

It’s ungodly frustrating to no end. Especially when I’ve been dealing with the same issues I’ve had for the last 3yrs ago and now have newer issues.

sorry if this came across as a rant but I’m just aggravated 😕

Oh and does the forum not do auto caps or autocorrect things or is this another issue I have with my phone? 😂

Hello once more~ Have you taken your iPhone into the Apple Store? Do you still have a screen protector on your iPhone? As far as coming across as a rant …I do understand your frustration and participation here has taught me as a volunteer to be considerate of other’s frustrations. We are trying to our very best to help you my friend…it’s what we enjoy doing. Hang in there with us?

Katana-San,

thank you for understanding…. It’s been a heck of a ride with this. I haven’t been to the Apple Store in years as it’s now almost 2 hrs away from me.

I’ve been using a BodyGuardz screen cover since about day one. I did get this phone when it first came out also if that means anything.

Thank you for understanding my “cranky moment”. I really do appreciate any help that’s given.

Hello again ~ You’re amongst friends here. I hate to ask but have you tried taking that screen protector off and trying? Don’t do it without a replacement though. Click on below to see if there’s a location closer…

You need to have this iPhone examined to find out what’s going on. I am going to keep digging to see if I can come up with some other suggestions. My Apple Store is an hour away but that’s where I would be headed if I were having your issues. My problem with going into the Apple Store is coming home with new stuff!! ;-)

Jenna ~ Yes, it does mean something: iPhone 12 first came out October 2020, which means yours is 4 years, 3 months old. That's when batteries degrade and cause a variety of issues – including touch screen issues.

And I wonder if that 87% Maximum Capacity is accurately reflecting the battery's health – as the % typically declines by 1% every couole of months or so. One would then expect the Max Capacity to be around 75% – which is well below Apple's key 80% level for battery replacement.

...So consider having the likely weak, original four-year-old battery replaced:
