Sorry, but the 7th gen iPod nano cannot support Bluetooth wireless earbuds natively as it has no built-in Bluetooth functionality.

However, you should be able to use a third-party Bluetooth transmitter adapter that fits into the 3.5mm headphone jack on the nano.

Two manufacturers of these adapters, that come to mind, are:

  • Twelve South - AirFly Pro
  • Avantree - Oasis Plus or Avantree Audikast Plus

Sorry, about the confusion. Based on the information I have available to me, the 7th gen iPod nano, which originally came out in 2012, had an updated version in 2015. Not exactly sure what the update included, related to Bluetooth.

Regardless, this iPod can support Bluetooth earbuds/headphones, but not the Apple AIrPods, as it has neither an Apple H1 or W1 chip for pairing.

Since I'm not sure about the difference between the 2012 & 2015 versions, if you happen to have the former, it may not support Bluetooth devices at all.
