Once your device is opened up by an unauthorized service provider, Apple will no longer provide any service to it. The risk is yours to take and how much you trust this other provider to not damage your phone further.

Yes....if you are willing to let a person who has not been trained by Apple to perform the repairs and you understand that the repairs will be done using non-genuine Apple parts.
In addition, you will need to understand that Apple will refuse to even look at your phone for any future service if they detect tampering by an unauthorized person or that non-genuine parts have been installed on your phone.
Finally, the phone will have zero trade in value with any Apple programs.
Personally, I would never take this kind of a gamble......but it's your decision.
