Hi all, I have a Macbook Air & wants to know if the trackpad works at the same time with my Magic mouse? Also there are time that my magic mouse just hover horizontally is there anything I would need to change in my settings to make it work flawlessly?

Yes, you can pair a Magic Mouse with the MBA without issue and use both it and the trackpad. Each will have its own settings.
I don't understand the symptom you describe for the mouse problem, so no specific guidance there but this:

I do not know what you want to achieve by working with both mouse and trackpad.
For me, yes, I often turn both on when I need to use trackpad for Asian language input, and mouse for pointing purpose. It took me while to get used to it, but they work together flawlessly for me.
