clips app not working with photos

I’ve noticed something strange when using photos in the Clips app. When I scroll, pan, zoom, or otherwise interact with a photo in the preview window, it doesn’t show. However, if I save the video and play it back, I can see that my actions were recorded. Also the preview window doesn’t show any other photos besides the 1st one added, It only shows the first photo as a timeline plays out. I’m using an iPhone 15 Pro Max with iOS 18.3 and the latest version of Clips, version 3.1.7. I’ve tried deleting the app and reinstalling it, as well as restarting my phone, but the issue persists. Has anyone else experienced this? And know of a fix 🙏🏾

Hi

yea on the playback it will always stay on the 1st photo but the other photos are there on my timeline. You won’t see them change in the video alap any panning and zooming in, that you do While recording will also no show in your video play back. If you export the video you will see all the edits you did when you play it. But it’s a mess as you can’t see it as you were doing it. everything was working fine until the latest update the fault is also on my iPad I’m using a 9th gen iPad with iOS 18.3.1 and clips 3.1.7. The app hasn’t been updated for about 9months so I’m assuming it’s the iOS update that is causing this anomaly
