macbook air m3 2024 16GB - zoom CLASS "performance " issues

I am a teacher in a virtual setting. We currently use Zoom, but are switching to Zoom CLASS. I have no issues in regular Zoom. I just bought this computer last summer. I do not have any heavy lift programs for graphic design or video editing loaded outside of what comes on system at purchase.

But In Zoom CLASS, I am unable to see Gallery view (Not even an option and it should be) and I believe it is due to the CLASS System Performance setting being Moderate vs. optimal. I have no idea why my new Macbook Air M3 2024 is operating at a low performance level for this application.

I have done the typical reboot after shutting down open apps/programs.

I have tried this on multiple wifi connections to see if it was actually my home wifi. No difference.

Other teachers who work on other Mac products do not have this issue.

Operating system is up-to-date.

Any insight would be appreciated.
