Find My Can't find my son but will finds his device

When I go to the Find My app (either on my iPhone or MacBook), My son's phone shows that it hasn't been found for over 2 weeks.

But I tried looking at his devices and I can see his iPhone there.

I have a call with him today. Any ideas on what might be gong on? Thanks.

Sounds like the setting which ties the “person” to the “phone” somehow became “unset”

Have your son go on his phone to FindMy -> Me -> My Location -> Use this phone as my location.

Thanks. I'll have him check.

I checked with my son and all the suggestions you all have given were checked. But I still can't find him. Here is what I had him check:

  1. Opened the Find My app, clicked "Me", "Share My Location" is turned on, From is "This iPhone".
  2. Go to Settings, click on his name at the top, open "Find My", Find My iPhone is turned on, Share My Location is turned on.

But when I go my my iPhone and open the Find My app and select "people", under his name it says "No location found".

Can anyone else give me a suggestion to try? Thanks
