Turned phone off while charging via car charger port. Now phone will not turn on again and shows battery level as nil. Is now plugged into house socket ** phone appears to be dead. Any ideas?

Hi, if the phone is presenting the battery flat image, then it's probably not "frozen". Just that the battery is depleted. If you connect the phone to a working charger, it should indicate on the screen that a charger is attached. Once the phone is sufficiently charged, it should power on by itself. It may take a number of minutes before it does that though.
