Input language changes when typing on my MacBook Pro

I have 2 input languages - Bulgarian and English. The primary is set to English. However, when I change it to Bulgarian, the moment I start typing, it instantly changes to English.

My shortcut to change the input:

What do I do to fix this obnoxious problem?

PS: Sometimes, it randomly works and other times it just doesnt (the majority of the time it doesn't work)

Does this also happen if you don’t use a shortcut but just go to the input menu at the top right of the screen and switch the input source there?

Could you post a screen shot of what you have at system settings / keyboard / text input / edit / all input sources?

Does this happen in all aps, including Safari, Mail, Messages, Notes, Pages?

Can you type български език here without problems?

Is the some special reason you prefer those very complex shortcuts? Normally you switch between keyboards like yours by just using Control Space or Capslock or Fn/Globe.
