  • What is the charge for?

  • Do you have any subscriptions that need cancelled?

  • Did you start a free trial and forget to cancel?
  • Are you the Organizer of a Family Sharing plan that uses Purchase Sharing?

Those are the key questions to determine if your financial information has been compromised or if your Apple Account has been compromised. Without knowing how those charges happened, you are open to additional problems. For a purchase on your device, it requires double clicking the side button with the amount showing on the screen, followed by verification with TouchID/FaceID or Passcode. That is not something that can be done by accident. If you gave your Passcode to someone else, you have authorized them to make purchases.

In most cases, transactions in the App Store are final due to these requirements for any purchase. At times, Apple may offer a compassionate refund, but it should never be expected.
