Reduce photo size iPhone 14

I’m operating on the latest iOS. All the information is outdated and I’m unable to access most functions. How do I reduce a photo size?

iPhone 14, iOS 18

Go to Settings/[your name]/iCloud/Photos and turn on Optimize iPhone Storage.

However, first check to see if this is your problem: Go to Settings/General/iPhone Storage and view your storage map and how much each app uses.

I have already tried this approach, found here on Apple. This is not working. I need a fix around a bug in the latest update. This morning my iMessage were not working. Wouldn’t mark it read. Many glitches

Did you check to see if storage is the problem? If storage is not full then turning on optimized storage will not fix it.

Go to Settings/General/iPhone Storage and view your storage map and how much each app uses. And post a screenshot of the iPhone Storage page.

Because I’m attempting to make a photo smaller in size so I can upload it. I DO NOT have the options I should have to make it a smaller file. In apple support and help pages, it shows options I do not have available.

I was looking for assistance, not a condescending answer. I think you are just shooting whatever out there to earn points, not actually help
