hidden user unable to delete

I recently got a new macbook pro and migrated from my old mac. I changed the login password for the new computer but managed to forget it, so I had to reset the password from the recovery mode. Then, I discovered that there's a user '_redgiantservice'. I googled and found out other people are/were having this problem also. It doesn't show up in my Users & Groups in System Settings. I tried to make it 'unhidden' typing commands in Terminal. I deleted all 'Red Giant' related folders and files (including the User folder) but it still shows up as a user ONLY when I reset my login password. I would really like to delete this user permanently.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Thank you. I manually uninstalled and deleted all Maxon and Red Giant related apps and folders/files but the user _redgiantservice still popped up when I try to reset my password (which I had to keep repeating to see if anything worked to delete this hidden user). But I was finally able to delete it using Terminal.

sudo /usr/bin/dscl . -delete "/Users/_redgiantservice"

Thanks again for your input!

?

see if this is it—

redgiantservice— refers to a suite of software plugins designed for video editing applications like Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects...(?)

to dis-spell user/groups query from the Terminal.app copy and paste:

ls -la /Users
