Scroll & Zoom Settings changes both external mouse and trackpad

I have an external Logitech keyboard + mouse combo I frequently use with my MacBook via an Apple USB C to USB A dongle. When I plug it in it works as normal, and I prefer to go to my settings to toggle off natural scrolling for the mouse. When I make this change, it is specifically in a "Mouse" menu in my settings, above the "Trackpad" menu. However, when I make this change, it applies to both, and upon removing the external device my Trackpad is toggled off of natural scrolling. I'm hoping this is just a bug, as it leaves me needing to adjust the settings every time I switch between the two. If there's any troubleshooting steps or ideas please feel free to share!
