Search in SMB share

Hello. We have a Windows File Server. Macs with any version of OS X including Sequoia, Sonoma, and Ventura all are able to access the SMB share, but the search function does not work. Nothing pops up if you try to search. Is there a way to fix this? We tried both AFP with Acronis File Connect and apps like FindAnyFile, but they do not work as well as we need it to. Any advice?
