Apple Pencil 1st Gen not working with iPad 9th Gen

I have tried everything on YouTube. Force resetting my iPad, updating my iPad nothing works.

I’ve tried the two apple pencils on other iPads and it doesn’t pop up unless I push it to top right of the charging port but will instantly disappear from Bluetooth after I let go or move it slightly.

I was given these from my work wrapped so I’m not sure if it’s my work that’s the problem but I’m not sure what to do and I’m willing to buy my own to test if it’s only from work that’s not working.

It may be possible that these work-provided Apple Pencils have been stored fully discharged before they provided them to you. If that be the case, they will not charge regardless of what you try.

I suggest that you ask your employer to provide you with a replacement before purchasing one on your own dime.

If you do decide to purchase your own, Apple provides you with a 14-day return policy, should your employer not reimburse you.
