How do I determine the battery level in an AirTag?
Open the Find My app.
Tap the Items tab.
Tap the AirTag whose battery charge you want to check. If the charge is very low, Low Battery appears under the name of your AirTag.

Thank you Bob, but that is only half of what I wanted to know. Until the charge is very low and sends a warning message, there is not a way to determine the charge level. Thank you.
Thank you Chatt. That is what I really wanted to know. I can’t really see the level of charge in the battery, until it gets to the low state and sends a warning that the battery is low. Thank you.
To be clear, There’s no other means to monitor the battery charge state …
… only the AirTag’s version of the “Dashboard Idiot Light” is available.

If you’re so inclined, you can read-out the cell voltage w/ a quality, high-impedance voltage meter.
2.0 VDC would generally be considered exhausted.
FWIW, we just replace all of our’s every year.
