Add Date Stamp Onto a Photo

I need to add a date and time stamp onto photo images. This is for work documentation. The firm I support requires a visible date stamp on the photo image itself. I know how to view the metadata, but short of scribbling it in Edit mode using the pen, not sure how to provide what they need. Prefer to not go through third party apps, but understand that may be the only option. No AI answers please. Thanks!
