iPhone recommendation for elderly teacher with vision issues

Hello,

Our school employs an English teacher, he is already old and has vision problems.. He recently had a birthday and we ask you to help him make his dream come true. Could you recommend a phone model? How much will such a model cost? And if there is an opportunity, we will be extremely grateful to make a small discount.

You aren't speaking with Apple and Apple doesn't really offer discounts on their products. This is a user to user only forum. What a wonderful thing you and your fellow teachers want to do for this person. Any iPhone Apple sells, would be a good iPhone. What we can't possibly know is what features this teacher might need or want? Will they maybe want to take a lot of photos? If yes, they'd likely appreciate a Pro model, which has better cameras. Will they need a lot of memory on their phone? That's an important consideration too as once purchased, there is no way to increase memory.

You might benefit from looking at this link which compares the iPhone models --> iPhone - Compare Models - Apple

This also gives you pricing information.

This is a user-to-user community. Apple largely is not here, except to moderate it. They're not going to see what appears to be your request for "a small discount."

You can see Apple's current lineup of iPhones here:

In some countries, Apple sells Certified Refurbished iPhones.

Apple also has an online Education Store, where a K-12 teacher or college educator might be able to get discounts on some products. I'm not sure how you would take advantage of discounts that might be available here – whether the school itself would be eligible for discounts, or whether you might be able to give the money to buy the iPhone to the English teacher, and have him actually purchase it.

I don't speak for Apple, so you'd have to check with them about that.

I checked the Education Pricing before I posted and iPhone is not an included device.

Note that there is a Buy iPhone - Education - Apple page.

I did a spot check of the price of a plain iPhone 16 with 256 GB of storage. (128 GB is a bit marginal these days.). The U.S. education price was the same as the regular U.S. price. So you might be right about "no discounts" – at the very least, this indicates that just because an iPhone is listed in the Education Store, that does not guarantee that an education buyer would get a price break.

I checked several sources and found no discount on iPhone in Education pricing at all. Macs, yes. iPad, yes. But iPhone, no.
