Mainstage - Importing audio with tempo and time signature changes

I hope someone can shed some light on this for me.

I want to use Mainstage for live performances using the Playback plugin to run carious backing tracks. However these backing tracks have both tempo and time signature change markers. Is it possible to bring these markers into Mainstage when importing the audio file and have the click track, tempo and time signatures follow the audio file?

If not - does anyone know if this is something that will be implemented in a future update?

I can see a workaround, by ignoring Mainstage's own tempo information and metronome, and importing a click track as another backing track file - but then any sync'd effects (delay or modulation for example) would not automatically follow the music.

It would be a shame if Mainstage's full potential in this regard isn't reached.
