Unable to change data or export tree in Macfamilytree 8
Hi all,
When I tried to open a tree in Macfamilytree 8 a few weeks ago, it asked me to log in into the App store.
Now it turned out Apple changed some code in the App store making older computers and operating systems left out in the cold, so I was unable to use, view, or even export the documents I had been working on for many years.
No need to tell you I wasn' t that happy...
I contacted Synium software (the maker) and got an answer quickly, but it didn' t work.
This morning, I saw a post here in the discussions, that Apple changed the login, so older systems could see and use or download there purchases once more.
I was pretty happy of course, so I tried opening Macfamilytree on my 2008 Macpro using El Capitan and YES, it worked !
However, there seemed to be some problems, as I couldn' t change any data nor export the documents to a GEDCOM file or a book, so I took my 2012 Macbook Pro running Sierra (X.12.6) and downloaded Macfamilytree 8 from the Appstore to see if it would work on that (slightly) newer os, but it gave the same result.
Anyone out there who knows how to fix this (apart from telling me to buy a new computer of course) ?
