Play Spotify via aux cable on my car

Hey! I’m trying to play music from Spotify via aux cable on my car and while I connect my phone, the music still sounds from my phone and not from my car. I have cleaned the ports, I have changed cable and nothing changes. I tried to connect an android device and it plays music just fine. I don’t know what else to do.

AUX USB only works if iphone pays for apple music Hi, I have tried looking at different threads and cant find this same issue or answers that help me. So I do not have an apple music subscription; so, I am not signed into that app and instead use Spotify. When I try to connect our car’s aux usb the screen says that there are no compatible files to play and will not let me play music from spotify. It does work with bluetooth and with iphones that do pay for apple music. I have an iphone 14 and the latest ios, plus, this also has happened with older iphone models. Our car is a 2018 toyota 4runner and the same issue occurs with other toyota cars at least past 2015. Does anyone know how to fix this without paying for apple music(a long term solution w/o using free trials and bluetooth)? Much appreciated!!

Playing Spotify in the Car via aux cable My iPhone 8 stops playing Spotify after a few songs when I'm listening in the car via a lightning/aux cable. fyi-my car doesn't have bt for music listening and I have to have the iPhone vol at max to get it lots y enough whilst playing through the car stereo. This is driving me nuts! Help!!!

Apple Music won’t connect to car audio via USB I just updated to os 16.5 on my iPhone 12 Pro and now music won’t play via usb on my car stereo. This happens every time there’s been a new update. Does anyone else have this problem? Is there a solution that doesn’t involve me having to delete and reinstall/download the app and all the music? @apple can you do something about this?
