Cancelling previous subscriptions to change Apple Account region

I have moved country and wish to change my region for my AppleID but can't without deleting all subscriptions? Is this correct? I have several important ones such as LinkedIn that I need to keep.

Correct you need to cancel them and wait for them to expire. If you do not want to wait for them to expire, after cancelling, contact Apple directly and they can remove it immediately. Your payment method must match the region you are in, so you will no longer be able to use that payment method in your new region.

You will also want to add a payment method based in your new region. Here is more information about what you need to do.
