Why is my iPhone 12 Pro overheating and freezing during music playback and how can I preserve it's performance?
I have an iPhone 12 Pro and I use it A LOT! When I mean a lot I will tell you that I've been streaming sounds--whether it's the ocean or a voice on Netflix to help me to sleep. I need noise to sleep because that's just how I rolled in the Northeast. As a Texas transplant quiet is a little hard.
Okay enough background on this!
I use Netflix the majority of the time because it eventually STOPS playing if you don't tell them you are still awake. So my phone gets to rest during this and charges at the same time at night.
Now, during the day, I do play a VERY GRAPHIC video game. By graphic I mean that I haven't seen these types of graphics with an American phone game. This game is like playing a video game from a console or your desktop graphics.
As of late, I've been limiting my screen time, but it seems when I play music--whether on the power cord or not with iHeart Radio it's been getting hot and freezing up.
Please give me the down and dirty! Am I over-working the phone? Should I stop use to like 4 hours a day at intervals sparsely so I can still keep my phone?
I understand I'm overworking it at night. I just need advice with how long I can keep it.
FYI...I STILL have a desktop I use when not using Word from 2014. My laptop is from I think 2020 because I got it during Covid. ALL my stuff except the phone work fine right now. I just want to hold onto these things that work for me instead of giving up. I'm only a creature of habit when stuff STILL works for me!
