MacBook Pro screen display issue after speaker replacement

I had my mac book pro speakers replaced.A couple of weeks after i got it back my wife noticed some faint lines in the top of the screen, i couldn't notice them so didn't report the issue. 4-6 weeks later it got a lot worse so i took a picture with my phone date recorded. As i work long hours i couldn't find the time to take it back to the apple store. when i finally had time the apple store told me the screen display is the fault and needs replacing. The mac has had very little use for it's age and the screen display had never had an issue. Apple support haven't given much support at all. As anyone had something similar happen like this before? What did you do to rectify the problem. Very disappointed with the whole experience with apple.

Apple guarantees repairs for at minimum 90 days after the service (longer in some countries). If you had your Mac repaired more recently than that, they should at least attempt to address the issue. If it's been longer than 90 days, then officially Apple has no further responsibility, assuming your Mac is beyond it's normal warranty and you don't have AppleCare+ on it. Either way, you can try discussing the situation with the store manager, but there's no way to know (at least not without disassembling the device) that the screen failure isn't just a coincidence so he/she may well not be willing or able to do anything for you. But you can ask.

Regards.

I would take it back and have them rectify the issue... waiting 4-6 weeks is a questionable tactic if there was an noticeable problem.
