icloud photo scam

It was early in the morning when I received an SMS, and it looked original. It stated that my photos were going to be deleted unless I upgraded. It had the log and the pay options. Being a concerned customer with many personal issues going on around me (and trying to stay on top of my finances), I proceeded to "upgrade" my account. After putting in my personal information, I remembered that I had upgraded a few months back with Apple for the same thing. I then checked my Apple account and found that I had been scammed.

Apple will never text you. You might get a personal email and the email sender will be verified as Apple Corporate.
