Charged $9.99 for Apple TV on multiple iPhones

Why are my wife and I charged 9.99 on each of our iPhones for Apple TV?

If you both have your own Apple ID (which you usually should) and you are both subscribed to Apple TV+, you will both be charged.

You can Family Share a single Apple TV+ subscription and cancel one of your current subscriptions. See information in Family Sharing - Apple
