Can I update my Apple Air? I am running 12.7.6

I am running 12.7.6 on Apple Air. I just updated Microsoft and it won't take the updates. Can I add memory to get the updates to work.

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 12.7

It is the model year of your MacBook Air that will determine whether, and how far, you can upgrade macOS. Given that you are running Monterey now,

  • You will need a 2018 or later model to upgrade to Ventura or Sonoma.
  • You will need a 2020 or later model to upgrade to Sequoia.

You cannot upgrade your MacBook Air's memory (RAM). If that MacBook Air is recent enough that it is possible to upgrade it beyond Monterey, you cannot upgrade the internal SSD, either.
