Microsoft rep had me uninstall Microsoft 365 to update it

Now I don't have needed apps because my Mac needs to be upgraded.....I work from home and now I don't have any of the necessary apps. I would be happy to use the older version that was put in the trash and deleted and discovered AFTER the fact that "my laptop is not compatible"....I am screaming right now.
