Is it necessary that M3 MacBook air sit on ventilated laptop stand?

How does the MBA cool itself? If I'm working on it on a folding table in the living room or on the kitchen counter, should I have it sit on a riser for airflow underneath like I did on my MBP at work? If yes, any recommendations? Thanks!

A riser is not required, but don't use your laptop for long periods on you bedding or pillows. Let the air flow naturally.

❝ Use your Mac laptop on a stable work surface that allows for good ventilation. Don’t use your Mac laptop in your bed, on a pillow, or under bedding. ❞

Cooling a Laptop:

The fans chill it down. If you hear some whooshing sound, then you fans are giving you issues. As for what I use is no more than a laptop cooler with fans underneath that rises at a 20 degree angle. Fellows is the brand.
