Apple car play disconnects when making a call or sending a message

"Apple car play disconnects when making a call or sending a message.: The call however continues on the phone (message does not send). I use car play through a usb cable, when it disconnects I have to unplug and re plug the cord which reconnects the call back through car play. It only ever disconnects for the first call of each trip, then no issues for any other call after unplugging / re plugging Operating system up to date"

If disconnecting after the first call, then see if there is a way to rid of you call history in your call's audio system. It may be looking for previous calls to add to a call log.

Try unpairing the phone. Then, pair it back. Perform this while in while in park.
