Mail not loading graphics after latest macOS Sequoia 15.3.1 update

This morning (11 Feb 2025) I updated my iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, 2019) to the latest macOS Sequoia 15.3.1. On restart Mail no longer loaded/displayed any graphics in either received, or sent emails. Even mail from Apple! Has this problem affected anyone else after update?

I tried to cure this by shutting down and restarting a second time and running First Aid from Disk Utility, then I also checked Mail settings, also checked to see if everything in System Settings was correct — none of these seemed to help.

Any suggestions of how to fix this problem?

Yes, I stared up in 'recovery mode'; see How to start up from macOS Recovery – Apple Support (UK) (OR, the US). I did a complete reinstall of the latest macOS (Sequoia 15.3.1) update.

I must point out the fault with my original update to Sequoia 15.3.1 was more than likely caused by a local temporary power outing/stoppage in our area. I can't find any other probable cause.

After the complete reinstall of Sequoia 15.3.1 update, my iMac (also Safari and Mail) functioned without problems.

It hasn't affected me. All graphics in Mail load.

Try booting into Safe Mode then restart normally. Sometimes that will fix anomalies.

I tried that, but it didn't work.

After that, I spoke to my local Mac dealer and repair outlet. Unfortunately, in our area we had a bit of a dip/outage which corrupted the upgrade. I have just done a re-install which seems to have solved the problem. Thanks for the help anyway.

So it's not just me! The only thing I can do to temporarily fix the problem is a restart but the issue always comes back.

When you say a reinstall, do you mean a complete reinstall of the OS?
