Text message and call dropping issue on my iPhone, post iOS 18.3.1 update

Ever since the 18.3 software update, my cellular service goes in and out randomly. I am able to start a call but it drops randomly and then I can’t even send text messages out. This was on an iPhone 15 pro max. I go to Apple and Verizon (my cellular company) and both think there must be a hardware issue with it, and suggest either fixing the phone or getting a new one. I ended up buying a 16 pro max and sure enough, same exact issue. It’s gotta be the software update, but I’m not seeing anything?

i was receiving text messages and calls normally on my 13 Pro Max until the iOS 18.3.1 update. It has been over a week now that my phone is not receiving all text messages, very few emails and dropped or incoming calls not coming through. I pay for and have additional storage space, I’m backed up to iCloud and everything is synced. I’ve done multiple resets, power off/on, removed SIM card, and have trouble-shooted with my carrier and personally. I’m still not receiving text messages, have drop or calls not coming through and few emails. This all happened after the iOS 18.3.1 update.

Apple please immediately fix this problem your update has caused to iPhone users.

Please make sure to call Apple and let them know. I currently am working with an engineer to try and solve this, but they clearly haven’t gotten enough complaints about it because they all were shocked that my calls have been the first they have heard about it.

Yes, it took me 3 times to finally get to someone at Apple to believe me. You have to call them back and let them know you have done everything, had your phone completely cleared, and tell them nothing works and hopefully they’ll get you to engineering like myself. I have my third follow up call about the issue where Apple is calling me back tomorrow.

I never use wi-fi calling though. I have unlimited talk, text and data no need to. I leave mine on cellular, my wi-fi is connected but wi-to calls never. That being said. Mine has started acting better over the past day and a 1/2 so I’m hoping it’s fixed. My neighbor could not get his slider to open the phone, theres a lot of problems with this update. Hope everyone else has some luck like I did, just go away ..

Ever since I put this update into my iPhone 14 Pro Max this 18.3.1 update I have constant phone calls that fade in and out. I’m on a three-way call an all of a sudden it’s like I can’t hear other people talking then fades back in or I gotta hang up and recall everybody back there also happens on just individual phone calls as well.

I’m on 18.3.1 and having same issues full service loses service goes to SOS mode satellite shows up and 10-15 seconds full service returns less minute it loses again and constantly cycles.

Happens on my Verizon and T-Mobile phones diagnostics test says eSIM error Vzw and t-mobile can’t seem to fix the issue. Mine seems to be tower related as not all the towers are doing it.
