Epson Workforce 4820 compatibility with Apple products
I'm looking to replace my printer. I have been using Epson, but it appears their Workforce 4820 is not compatible?

The Epson WorkForce Pro WF-4820 Wireless All-in-One Printer tech specs do indicate AirPrint support:
Printer setup for AirPrint is on page 45:

Update the printer firmware, as well:
The setup: Print wirelessly from your Mac to your printer - Apple Support
Probably also remove the vendor printer drivers.

I would only buy a printer with AirPrint support. No AirPrint support, no sale.

The WF4820 is not on Apple AirPrint compatibility list.

But it does seem to have macOS 15 drives for network printing.
Personally I recommend that you go with one of the AirPrint Eco-Tank models, instead of that model that requires drivers and expensive replacement cartages.

Thank you MrHoffman! I really appreciate your prompt and informative response and advice. I was hesitant to consider the ink tank models - but will now give them a much closer look and evaluation. Thanks again!!
I’ve avoided inkjet models for a while, preferring LED/laser models.
This so long as the consumables are reasonably priced.
Subscription models and inkjet models are not the local preference.
Whatever you select, it absolutely must have AirPrint, and preferably also with IPP/IPPS support. That to reduce the dependencies on vendor drivers.
Local vendor preference is a Brother non-subscription LED/laser model.
