Before iOS 18, there was a way to one tap to go to the bottom of any photo album. That functionality has gone away in iOS 18 and the only way to get to the bottom of the album is to scroll. I have albums with thousands of photos each. How can I be expected to scroll to the bottom each time??!!

This doesn't address the issue. There used to be a way to one tap to go to the top or bottom of any photo album. What you are suggesting only changes whether the oldest or newest photos are shown at the top of the album. I can't be expected to change the sort criteria every time I open the album in order to access new or old photos.

In Library view there is a small ( X )
at the bottom. That takes you to the Photos view that shows the bottom of the Library.
