Error code 50 when transferring folders from PC to new MacBook Pro's external drive

New MacBook Pro. Switching from PC. Trying to export my files from an external (copied from the PC) to another external (formatted APFS.). Individual files transfer no problem and I can transfer them in large groups. The problem is that folders will not transfer and attempting to do so will throw the error. I have 1 folder in particular that has several dozen or maybe hundreds of subfolders so rebuilding them one by one is not feasible.

There are no problems with either disk. The one I'm writing to is a brand new Samsung EVO nvme.

I have Googled this and the results are not helpful. This is a make or break issue so if I can't get my folders copied over very soon, I'll have to go back to a PC.

Export Data, then Format this Disk to exFAT:

If you are reading a drive from a PC and a Mac, then exFAT32 is the format to use. So, export these back to your PC (so that they are not lost), and then format this using your Mac, through use of Disk Utility.
