How can I create a bootable OS X Lion installation disk from a Mac Studio for an Intel Mac Pro server?

Hi,

I would like to revive my intel core / 2010 macpro and use it as a server.

But there is no system on it. Os X Lion was the last upgradeable system on it.

I have downloaded the Os X Lion installer in all formats, but I can't manage to make an installation disk from my M2 Mac Studio. It keeps giving an error.

Should I try to create an installation disc from an older system / machine?

Or can anyone help me with what might be wrong?

Thanks in advance

It would be much easier to use Internet Recovery Mode to reinstall macOS.

If you really want macOS 10.7 Lion, then use Command + Option + Shift + R to access the online installer.

Otherwise, use Command + Option + R (no Shift) to attempt to access the online macOS 10.13 High Sierra installer. If you have an error with High Sierra about not being able to connect to the server, then try Fix#3 in the following article:

I am not aware of any valid methods to make a macOS 10.7 Lion USB installer these days since it is different than the installer from a decade ago.
